Don’t be shy… Let’s get to know each other!

Hi there! My name is Kasey Hernandez, and I was born and raised in Marin County, California. I saw my first professional show when I was three years old — HAIR! (Yes, I was definitely too young for it.) Nonetheless, I remained on the edge of my seat from start to finish, and I even got to watch my mom dance in the ensemble. From playing a poppy in The Wizard of Oz in kindergarten to now, a soon-to-be graduate from Texas Christian University with my BFA in Musical Theatre, the theatrical world has always been my home, my safe place, and where I feel the most free.

I’ve moved over 14 times in my life, and I’m excited for my next move as I dive into the professional world. As a Mexican-American performer who stands 5 feet tall, I often play roles in the teens-to-early-20s range. I’m a versatile actress and vocalist with a soprano range, a strong belt, and an edgy pop-rock sound. I bring youthful, edgy, flirtatious, and even bratty energy to roles, but I can also embody the sweet, girl-next-door ingenue. Whether performing Realism, Shakespeare, Musical Theatre, or singing some good ol’ fashioned pop rock, I feel the most alive when onstage because I feel the most human when I tell important stories. If you’re looking for a belter for your upcoming cruise, casting a Luisa in The Fantasticks, or searching for your next Lydia in Beetlejuice or Eurydice in Hadestown (emphasis on the latter!), let’s connect!

I’m incredibly passionate about Fair Trade Foods — especially where chocolate is concerned — so let me know if you’re in need of a brand recommendation! When not performing, you’ll find me selling clothes on Depop, arts n’ crafting, creating social media or graphic design content for Theatre TCU, reading poetry, or rewatching Game of Thrones (for the 8th time). Thanks for stopping by; I hope you stay awhile!
